To weep is a futile gesture,

                                                  (A waste of good salt...)

         Tears change nothing, unlike blood:

One drop will call the world to look

                                            To see your suffering,

                                            And test its empathy,

...Or at least its capacity thereof.

               One drop can call on oblivion-

And begin your gentle release...

                                     Bleeding brings quiet,

      while lost tears only breed,

                       Never ending,

                                only feeding upon themselves.

There is no point in tears.

               As if nothing effects, I act-

   Yet here I sit, sick,

                                  Thinking,

       An uncomfortable warmth building,

Burning my eyes

                              As well as my heart.

Begging for and disgusted by

              A single thing, one and the same…

 A need that destroys as it is satisfied

                        (…a destruction quite satisfying…)

Oh! how the love of the recognition affects….
